Marc de Leeuw

Marc took the scenic route into filmmaking. He earned a master's degree in Econometrics at the University of Amsterdam before exchanging numbers for images and studying Photography at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. That unlikely combination still shapes his work: intuitive and visually associative, but always grounded in structure.

Working across documentary, fiction and branded film, Marc moves comfortably between directing and editing. His directing credits include the NPO documentary series The Battle to Paris, the Prime Video series De IRT Affaire, the Videoland true-crime series Het Beest van Harkstede and the short films Copyrette and In het bloed.
